The Cardiffrinj is a collective of creative artist types who traditionally are not so good with the numbers.
So, bear in mind that a guitarist sent me these numbers, but they’re still numbers until
we hear back from WOMEX – just tweeted them now about it.
” My calculations from before: 840 acts applied to play, each paying an application fee of $30, totalling $25200 i.e. £16380 for WOMEX. ”
So says our accountant, so he surely has the blues as he’s getting half of what door money he takes, which even if he gets his target of 30, will only be…half the ticket price which is…as I say, not so good with the numbers these creative types but it’s unlikely to be in the thousands of pounds.
Not bad for three days’ work then is it?
That would be tantamount to saying that the Ffrinj is two days work though, so credit where credit is due.
